In 2006, Executive Chef Edgar Theisen, ends a 26-year career to become a Realtor®. Edgar brings integrity, loyalty and a strong business mind to his brokerage, Paragon Premier Properties, Luxury Real Estate.

Edgar holds designations awarded by the National Association of Realtors® for:

  • ABR® (Accredited Buyer’s Representative®)

  • GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute)

  • SRES® (Seniors Real Estate Specialist®)

Edgar began his career as a Chef in his native Germany with a three-year apprenticeship at Zum Domstein. He worked aboard the Cunard's prestigious ship the Queen Elizabeth II followed by several years of service with both Royal Viking Line and Seabourn Cruise Line. Moving to Sweden, Chef Theisen served as Chef de Partie at the Operakaellaren, catering to Europe's celebrities and royals. In 1987, he won a silver medal at the International Food Show of 150 contestants. He spent a year in Alaska before relocating to the Hawaiian Islands where he worked alongside Chef Jean Marie Josselin at The Beach House - A Pacific Cafe.  He then joined award-winning Chef Roy Yamaguchi in 1999 as a Partner at Roy's Poipu before moving to Florida to open two Roy's Restaurants: at Tampa and Boca Raton.  There, Chef Theisen received rave reviews for his culinary creations in The Palm Beach Post, The Sun-Sentinel, The Miami Herald, Boca Raton Magazine, and City & Shore Magazine & Boca Raton News, and was nominated by one of the leading magazines for Most Creative Menu 2002.  

Edgar has made guest appearances on NBC 5's Midday Show and ABC 10's Daybreak News after earning widespread recognition for spearheading one of South Florida's finest gourmet hot spots.  In 2003, after turning Roy's Philadelphia into a great success and earning recognition by Celebrity Kitchens, Edgar's cooking demonstrations were aired in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Chef Theisen finally moved to Las Vegas in 2004 joining Little Buddha at the Palms Casino & Resort which he was very quickly acknowledged receiving a rave view by Max Jacobson of the Las Vegas Weekly Magazine.

Edgar has always been involved in the community, having been voted Best Chef to Give Back to the Community 2002 by New Times Magazine and having worked with or hosted events for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Boca Ballet, The March of Dimes, The Museum of Discovery & Science, Share our Strength, Morikami, Museum, Hospice, Florence Children's Center, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and The Haven & Windows of Hope, among others.

Edgar continues to give back by getting involved in his real estate brokerage by helping new agents get on the right track when it comes to running a business with integrity and honesty.  He openly shares his expansive knowledge and experiences with everyone he comes in contact with.  He is genuine in all of his dealings and is a real estate professional you can trust!
